the two foundational brood bitches of CRIMSONLINE BLOODLINES - CRIMSON KIT & DASH OF CRIMSON

cRIMSON KIT

( fLOPSY)

Crimson Kit is a lightly raced 26kg brindle bitch by Fernando Bale out of Crimson Vixen.

Initially a very shy, late‑maturing pup, she nevertheless showed genuine race ability, combining elite muster, a strong back‑end profile, and the capacity to run solid time.

Her career was interrupted by significant injuries — first a shoulder, then a gracilis — costing her long stretches of development and continuity. Although she returned to racing, she had lost her early box speed, yet still proved competitive over 460m and 500m, even making a 460m Grade 5 Final at Geelong, where she displayed race sense, railing ability, and determination against quality opposition.

The Fernando Bale × Crimson Vixen litter itself was exceptionally strong, producing 68 wins, $225k in earnings, multiple metropolitan victories, and remarkable versatility from 300m to 595m, with five littermates winning 10 or more races.

Crimson Kit’s early career suggested she was on the same trajectory. Before injury halted her momentum, she had already run:

  • Horsham 410m — 10.26 / 23.20 (Maiden win)

  • Geelong 400m — 8.45 / 22.48 (4th race)

  • Traralgon 350m — 6.52 / 19.74 (6th race)

  • Ballarat 450m — 6.51 / 25.38 (10th race)

At that point she had already recorded 3 wins, 2 seconds, and 1 third — a strike‑rate that aligned with the quality of her litter.

Her early times and performances made it clear there were many more wins in the tank; her race career simply never had the uninterrupted run it needed to fully unfold.

2026 Mating - POSTMAN PAT X CRIMSON KIT

Crimson Kit (Flopsy) has recently been mated with Postman Pat at Lakeview Sires, the superstar son of Hooked on Scotch and is expecting her first litter in late July 2026

Hooked on Scotch is now the boom sire at Stud and throwing superstars, especially when mated with daughters of Fabregas. Key examples include:-

  • Power & Glory

  • Off the Chart

  • On the Prowl &

  • Dewana Star

So it is no surprise that Postman Pat’s Dam - Birdie Tee is also a Fabregas daughter, confirming the undeniable “Nick” that has perhaps not been recognised by the wider industry experts.

To be part of the first crop of Postman Pat litters with a quality brood bitch with elite compatible bloodlines is genuinely exciting.

A recent Greyhound Recorder article of his first litter that are now 18 months old and trialing and running time is shown in the link below as well as the line breeding approach taken by the Owner/Trainer, which mirrors this mating.

If you have genuine interest, jump over to the Crimson Kit - Mating page on this site, where a deeper dive on the pedigrees has been undertaken as well as some key facts to familarise yourself with the depth and quality of this damline.

We thought we would let AI generate some 4- 5 week old images, to see what color variations might be thrown up.

DASH of crimson (dasher)

Enjoying some nap time at home.

Dash of Crimson (Dasher).

Dash of Crimson is a 25.5 kg white and fawn bitch, who showed tremendous early speed and muster, jumped well and ran straight and won 10 races in her racing career.

She is a daughter of Fernando Bale & Crimson Vixen - a genuine Blue Blood bitch, with her granddam being the Blue Hen - Weeping Lass - to whom she bares an uncanny phenotype resemblance.

She is a highly intelligent and gentle bitch who will no doubt make a beautiful brood bitch and pass on those traits to her offspring.

She missed significant race periods in her prime due to illness and then a serious race fall that cracked her shoulder, but showed genuine courage to come back and win a further 3 races for a novice trainer (me).

Dash of Crimson showed genuine race ability, winning from 350 m to 410 m and recording four second placings over 425 m and 435 m.

Although small in stature, she is best described as having a 450 m engine in a 400 m chassis — early pace with plenty of drive underneath.
She is planned to be mated with Tim Zoo later in 2026, a pairing that also made perfect sense to Seona Thompson at Awesome Lodge.

Early in her career she built wins off genuine early speed and muster and first splits. But later in her career she developed genuine race sense and was able to come from behind and take splits on the corner to win.

Some of her better first splits and wins include:-

Warragul - 8.31 - 22.80 for 400m

Geelong - 8.35 - 22.60 for 400m

Traralgon - 6.52 - 19.79 for 350m

Bendigo - 6.43 - 24.13 for 425m

A link to her key race performance/wins is shown below.

Dash of Crimson - Tim Zoo - AI Generated Pups

We decided to have a bit of fun and generate some 4 -5 week old pup photos with AI based on their respective colorings.

It will be interesting to see the real-life pups at the same age.

Dash of Crimson

Dash of Crimson (Dasher) is planned to be mated with Tim Zoo, the Group 1 winning star son of Aussie Infrared and Double Supreme, in December 2026.

The circa 37kg race star had longevity, racing at the highest level for close to 3 years. Very few dogs of that dog size have his early pace, no doubt a reflection of his speed sire Aussie Infrared, but he also carried the strength and back-end from his Dam Double Supreme who was by Superstar Dyna Double One.

Speed + Strength = Power.

Expressed in the purest form in Tim Zoo.

Dash of Crimson herself being a genuine Blue Blood (Fernando Bale X Crimson Vixen) with a solid race record of 10 wins and early speed, comes from an elite early pace line, with a star speedster dam and a blue-hen grandam (Weeping Lass) has both the genetic make-up, intelligence, biomechanics & temperament to be an outstanding brood-bitch. Hopefully with the same success as her grand-dam weeping lass with whom she shares a striking resemblance in both racing and physical appearance.

This mating is largely an outcross mating, adding size and strength to prospective pups, but preserving the natural early speed, to hopefully hit that racing sweet spot of early speed, athleticism, balance and strength in the 30 -32kg range.

However, there is the added bonus of a line duplication with Barcia Bale, as he is the sire of Dash of Crimson’s dam - Crimson Vixen, which clearly worked. Aston Dee Bee (Son of Barcia Bale) produced one of the best litters of recent times, with Granddam Blue hen Weeping Lass (mother/dam of Crimson Vixen) 178 wins & $827K including a further 2 Group Wins with Mobile Legend and prolific race winners Silver Brute(Pink Diamond Winner) & Action Girl.

But, Tim Zoo’s dam line also goes back to Barcia Bale via Dyna Double One, arguably his best performed son. It is a duplication, but at a safe distance.

We look forward to the arrival of this litter in Early 2027, contact early to be in the drivers seat.
